In the winter of 2019, there was an idea: Lewistown could (and should) have a drum and bugle corps. Throughout 2020, conversations were had and board was formed.
After months of meetings, and thanks the work of the board of directors (pictured here) The Logan Guards were granted Section 501(C)(3) status in March of 2021.
On April 17, 2021 our first note was played. The first rehearsals were held at The Lumina Center in Lewistown.
The summer of 2021 saw a percussion-only ensemble perform in Belleville, Reedsville, Lewistown and Patton.
Our "world premiere" happened in Belleville, PA, when we entertained the crowd at the Belleville Mennonite School benefit auction.
When the weather improved, we began to rehearse along the Juniata at Victory Park.
We helped the Mifflin County Historical Society's celebrate their 100th anniversary with a performance in downtown Lewistown.
We participated in a parade and concert sponsored by the SDCA (Small Drum Corps Association) in Patton, PA.
